Middle East
For a long time, the Saudi Arabian Kingdom was a mystery for many people around the world. But with the government’s new policies and extensive efforts in boosting tourism, it is now possible to explore this mysterious capital city.
Learn About Saudi Arabia Visitor Visa
Though Riyadh is traditionally a financial hub, it is now upcoming as an exciting tourist attraction that offers a multitude of activities.
While you explore the hidden gems of Saudi Arabia, don’t miss out on the capital city’s biggest gala Riyadh Season 2022. Know all about Riyadh Season’s events and purchase your tickets on our platform.
The stunning skyscrapers, bumper-to-bumper traffic, and bright city lights characterize Riyadh. However, tucked amidst the hustle of this ever-growing metropolis is a gem that stands firm, representing the glorious birth of Saudi Arabia. King Abdulaziz Al Saud captured his ancestral home, the Al Masmak Fortress, in 1902 and spearheaded the formation of modern Saudi Arabia. Today, visitors throng at this clay and the mud-brick fort to understand the rise of the Saudi Kingdom. The adjacent museum is home to paintings, photographs, and antiquities such as guns and swords.
The Al Faisaliyah Center was the first skyscraper built in Saudi Arabia and, currently, the fourth-tallest building in the Kingdom. Also known as the Star Dome, the iconic building has an enormous glass ball at the top, which houses a restaurant named ‘The Globe.’ Don’t miss dining at the restaurant with 360-degree views of the city.
The Sky Bridge at the Kingdom Center is one of the hottest attractions in Saudi Arabia. It is perched on top of the 300-meter height tower and is 65 meters long. Take a lift up this bridge and witness some enthralling views from there.
Stretching over 318,000 square meters, this park is the largest in the country. Spend a leisure evening or take a picnic to the park with your loved ones. The park has a myriad of cafeterias, a restaurant, areas for sports, a 12 m pedestrian pathway, and several playgrounds for children. The highlight of the park is the dancing water fountain, whose shows happen every half an hour after 6:15 PM every day.
Travel to Jebel Fihrayn, the end of the world to hike the dramatic cliffs rise in the middle of a barren desert. Located in the northwest region of Riyadh, the place offers an uninterrupted view of the horizon.
The desert is an integral part of the country and has to find a place on your itinerary. You can indulge in some dune bashing on the rented ATVs or take a relaxing stroll in the rusty tinted sand.
The tribal markings or Wasum, the legacy of Neolithic people, ascertains Saudi Arabia’s contribution to the research of humankind. The most famous rock art landmarks, Graffiti rock, sprinkled with camels, battle scenes, and even hieroglyphs, are near Riyadh.
Complete your trip by indulging in some retail therapy. Check out the Owais souq, which has a range of products from expensive gold and diamond jewelry to shisha pipes and carpets.
